Monday evenings have become my new time to shop, I find that my local Stop and Shop isn’t super nuts albeit still somewhat ravaged and low on stock. My most recent shopping trip was primarily done for kid snacks. Something my house is low on at all times thanks to schools, camps, and growth spurts, and summer. Oh please summer go away, September is almost here isn’t it?

I discovered a great peelie on some of the Kraft Handi-Snacks that are 2/$5 this week.  My son loves Oreo’s but I can’t justify paying for them at full price. Don’t get me wrong, Oreo’s have been on sale, but I still can’t justify paying a sale price of $3 without a coupon in sight.  I know there will be better Oreo sales in the future, so for now my son gets these. I doubt he will complain.

Like I said above, this trip was primarily for kid snacks so I stocked up as best I could for the time being.  The sales on the snacks weren’t super great, but they were on sale, I had coupons, and we were fresh out of snacks at home.  Have you ever seen two children fight over the last pack of crackers? It resembles something you would see when two cartoon characters would fight on the Saturday Morning Cartoons of years past……….

    ………but I digress.

Do you like the lettuce I threw in my cart? I thought it would bring balance to the fruit snacks and brownie mixes. Great idea, right :)   Hey, you should see the looks I get sometimes in the grocery store. No worries though, I piled plenty of healthy items on top of all the snacks, which is another couponer stereotype diversion tactic I use :)

Have you gotten any great deals at the grocery stores lately? I am hoping for a major stock up sale soon, being that back to school is just around the corner.

Man I wish I had the patience for coupons. I did it once and it made a huge difference, but it was like it’s own part-time job! Way to go!

Thanks Kate! After a while you get so used to it that it doesn’t take much time at all. I am actually working on a post about that, so stay tuned :)

I can’t wait to read that post. I’ve been couponing since late last year and I still am having trouble managing my time better since couponing takes up alot of my time.
